Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is especially for those with skin that has sun damage, age spots, fine lines, acne or a rough texture. We utilize the most advanced microdermabrasion equipment, available only in a physician’s office. Our machine does not use messy crystals; instead we choose from multiple textured brushes that are selected for your skin type.

Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates the uppermost layer of skin and removes dead skin cells to reveal a healthier appearance; revitalizing the skin and encouraging blood flow. We will consult with you on the treatment plan we feel will achieve your desired results.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that offers no downtime following treatment. Some patients may experience a slight warming sensation as the microdermabrasion brushes exfoliate the skin. The length and number of treatments depends solely on each individual’s condition.

As the new layer of skins appears it will be more sensitive and require more protection from the sun. Use moisturizing creams to keep your skin hydrated and to help prevent any possible irritation. Your esthetician or the Cosmetic Counter Consultant can recommend sun screens and moisturizers that will be appropriate for your skin type.

Side effects are very rare and will not occur if properly performed by a qualified and licensed esthetician, such as those in our office. Temporary side effects may include mild redness, swelling, minor discomfort and bruising. More serious side effects can include scarring, changes in pigmentation and persistent redness.

Microdermabrasion with Epi Infusion
During this treatment, our esthetician will add specially formulated infusions to your microdermabrasion. With four different types of infusions, we are able to focus on acne, skin tightening, dry skin or the addition of antioxidants.

Microdermabrasion with Peel
To provide maximum results, it may be necessary to combine your traditional microdermabrasion treatment with a customized peel relevant to your skin condition.

Chemical Peels

Beta Lift Peel
This salicylic acid peel delivers outstanding results by exfoliating the surface skin cells to reveal fresh, healthy skin. The anti bacterial properties make this a great treatment for acne and oily prone skin types. By promoting renewal of the skin, texture is improved and pores become more refined.

Glycolic Peel
This gentle no down time peel helps reduce scarring, brown spots, dull texture, and superficial lines caused by sun damage. It restores the healthy glow that skin can lose over time.

Vitalize Peel
This intensive Retin-A peel achieves dramatic improvements in superficial lines and congested pores, restoring your skin’s natural radiance. This unique treatment is excellent for clearing acne breakouts and helps to lighten age spots, leaving your skin smooth and soft to the touch. Most patients experience approximately 2-5 days of a white flaking of the skin. The chest area can be added for an additional cost per treatment.

Vitalize Peel with Boost
This is our favorite peel: A Vitalize peel with the addition of the Jessner peel. The “boost” intensifies the effects of the Vitalize Peel. One can expect flaking and peeling to be more intense and to start earlier than with other treatments.
