Dr. Bernard l. Raskin

Bernard Raskin, M.D., graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors degree in physics. He graduated from the prestigious California Irvine Medical School University of California at Irvine and Long Beach Veteran's Administration Hospital. Dr. Raskin completed a dermatology residency at one of the nation's premier dermatology training programs at UCLA.

Dr. Raskin is board certified in both dermatology and internal medicine and is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine Division of Dermatology at UCLA, with responsibilities including teaching dermatologic surgery, liposuction, laser, and cosmetic surgery to dermatologists in training. Dr. Raskin is on the advisory committee in Cancer and Developmental Biology at California State University Northridge.

Dr. Raskin holds fellowships in the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Dermatology, and the L.A. County and California Medical Associations. He has hospital staff affiliation at Henry Mayo Hospital.

Dr. Raskin is a qualified medical evaluator for the Industrial Medical Council, State of California, and an expert reviewer for the California State Medical Board. He has been a consultant to various health insurance programs. Dr. Raskin has invented and developed medical instruments and is President of his own company, Surgiguide Products. Dr. Raskin has been a researcher and has published scientific articles on liposuction. He has also developed a unique and effective way of stitching skin post surgical procedures. Dr. Raskin has co-authored chapters in textbooks on cutaneous surgery, laser surgery, and liposuction. Dr. Raskin's practice emphasizes cosmetic surgical and medical dermatology. He performs Mohs skin cancer surgery, liposuction, blepharoplasty, and numerous types of laser surgery.

Dr. Raskin has been featured on national and local television, and in various national and regional publications, including the Los Angeles Times, Daily News, Santa Clarita Magazine, Outdoor Life, and Shape. He has been honored by the City of Santa Clarita Anti-Gang Taskforce for his long term commitment to laser tattoo removal on former gang members. He has also repeatedly been voted Santa Clarita's best dermatologist in the Daily News and the Santa Clarita Living Magazine.

Dr. Bernard Raskin founded Mohs Micrographic Surgery Center of America and has performed Mohs micrographic surgery on patients with skin cancer for over 20 years. He is considered an expert in dermatology and cosmetic surgery.
